Today’s Scripture: Ezra 10:2 NLT Tyndale: Then Shecaniah son of Jehiel, a descendant of Elam, said to Ezra, “We confess that we have been unfaithful to our God, for we have married these pagan women of the land. But there is hope for Israel in spite of this.
I am thankful to have hope in spite of my unfaithfulness. God is my hope. Everywhere I turn it is clear that the first step of hope, of joy, of faithfulness is TO FALL TO MY KNEES WITH MY HANDS LIFTED TO THE LORD MY GOD.
In Ezra 9:5 Ezra says he did this very thing and then he prayed, “O my God, I am utterly ashamed; I blush to lift up my face to you. For our sins are piled higher than our heads, and our guilt has reached to the heavens.”
Is it a coincidence that someone I have never met read a blog I wrote five months ago and shared yesterday that her greatest dream was to spend eternity at the feet of the LORD? She said she could not imagine a sweeter place. Thanks Hanna for sharing and I realized today reading Ezra that whether looking forward, looking back or living now there is no sweeter place than falling to our knees before Him. We find hope, joy, love and forgiveness there, even when we have been unfaithful to Him.
Do you find hope on your knees too?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, I do fall on my knees and lift my hands to You. Thank You for Your unfailing love and for Your promise to never abandon us. I confess my sins and my unfaithfulness to You and promise to do what You demand. Strengthen this weak vessel. You are my strength, my hope, my God. Amen

Tom, I am falling to my knees more and more the older I get…when I’m overwhelmed with sorrow or conviction or with a burden… But I’ve never put hope into this process. Hope at the feet of Jesus. Yes. Thank you for that beautiful image, I’ll tuck it away and remember it the next time.
Blessings my friend.

Thank you Robin! Exactly, I havetoo and thought as I read these verses. He is the beginning and the end. The angels and elders in heaven all knelt down and claimed AMEN, Blessings, glory, wisdom and thanksgiving and strength….there on their faces they praised who He was….there as we praise and acknowledge Him we find hope and so much more…love and blessings to you. I continue to pray for Sara and all those touched.

Each tear that hits the alter makes that much more room for hope.. The power of conviction can clean up a space pretty quickly. Glad I stumbled on to this site. God bless and keep up the good work.
