Today’s Scripture: To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” Acts 10:43 ESV
Acts 10 reminds us that we are remembered by God and He is with us; wherever we are. The Holy Spirit appeared to Cornelius and to Peter and brought them together. We are reminded in their experience that what God has made clean do not call common or unclean.
Jesus has made us clean. Although Peter’s vision was assumed to be about what was considered clean to eat you see that this cleansing carried over to Cornelius and his friends. The Holy Spirit descended on them all where they were.
I am just another forgiven man. I can now bear witness as a man forgiven and made clean by Jesus that others too receive this forgiveness.
Wherever you are today, God is with you. His Holy Spirit will descend upon you and remind you that you are clean and let no one call you common or unclean.
Have you received Jesus’ forgiveness?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your Holy Spirit who has descended on me. Thank You for calling me into the belief that Jesus has judged me as forgiven. Help me to bear witness to everyone who believes that they are forgiven; freed in Christ to bear witness to others. You are where we are LORD, may we bear witness of Your love and Your peace. Amen

Always good stuff here, brother Tom. This past week my reading included some of Isaiah–and I can’t recall now if it was in there, or in Psalms–but I was overwhelmed by God’s ardor for us! He doesn’t just “love” us–He craves and adores us, His beloved children whom He created for true-forever companionship. It just knocked me over, again. God bless you BIG–love, sis Caddo

O WOW, Sis I LOVE God’s ardor (thanks for teaching me a new word) for us! Let me know if you find those verses that spoke His craving and His adoration for us. I LOVE that God, our God, craves us and adores us. What else do we need? May we LIVE out our part of this companionship and crave and adore Him with all that we have so we may bear witness not only of forgiveness but the fullness of redemption and glory. I love you Sis and pray God’s blessings as you ponder. Tom

I’ll find them for you, Tom–and bring them back after I get some sleep (Friday was my b’day, and I’m still up–too JOYful to sleep!). To clarify, though–the verses don’t say those words specifically; it was just the rushing sense of His Great LOVE that came through as I read. See you later–God bless you BIG as always.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY…I didn’t know…get some sleep. I LOVE how his words do not say these words specifically….BUT we know what He is speaking into us today. Get some sweet rest.
Ponder says
Yes, you got it!!! Thanks, I just need to settle down….

Actually, like your latest writing…it is in those “spaces” in our spirits where we receive His cravings and His love for us in His Word…may not be literal but it is KNOWN. Tom
Ponder says
Absolutely! “May not be literal, but is KNOWN”–Amen, AMEN!

Okay, Tom–ready? It’s mostly Isaiah (chaps 40-46), I was talking about–plenty of good stuff in there, but the verses that knocked me over with God’s “ardor” for us, are Chap 44:21-28 (Especially v. 21-22!!). Also Chap 45:1-6; v.11-13, v.17; and Chap 46:3-4, v.10-11. Then, grab Psalm 68:9, 13! This should fill your plate for now–but remember, God always has plenty for “seconds”!! Don’t leave hungry!! much love to you, caddo

SIS, I do believe I will rest in God’s arms and in His ardor for a bit. I can feel being held to His bosom and do find much comfort in these Words. Thank you for sharing these with us here. Blessings as you bear witness.
