Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 6:10 ESV: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Our strength WILL fail us but we DO have hope. The Good News is the LORD’s strength is MIGHTY. Our flesh cannot resist evil but we find strength in the Lord.
We MUST put on the full armor of God. Our greatest battles are spiritual battles and the Lord is our spiritual strength. Our weaknesses are revealed in flesh and blood but we cannot resist them in flesh and blood.
It is God’s truths, His righteousness, His gospel of peace and the power of faith that protect us against our personal evil battles. We are protected by His salvation and we can successfully fight our own personal battles with the Holy Spirit. Praying and staying in the Spirit is our only hope to live in the strength of the Lord.
We ALL have battles and we ALL can be strong in the Lord. Do you ask the Spirit to protect you with strength of the Lord?
Today’s Prayer: Mighty God, forgive me for repeatedly turning to my strength. I praise You and thank You for giving me Your armor. I am asking Your Spirit to help me daily to put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, Your shoes of the gospel of peace, to use faith as my shield and to wear proudly this helmet of salvation and to rely on the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. You Lord are my only strength. Amen
