Today’s Scripture: When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. Luke 17:14 ESV (all emphasis is mine)
“Jesus, Master, have mercy on us” was the cry of the ten lepers in the previous verse. Jesus told them to go and they were cleansed as they went.
We can learn from these steps in Luke 17:
- Cry out to Jesus
- Go as He directs us.
- Have faith in Jesus.
- Thank Him for His healing.
Are you crying out to Jesus for help? Are you willing to go BEFORE you can see or understand? Do you have faith that Jesus will provide as you go? Do you turn to thank Jesus?
Jesus told the one leper who did turn to thank Him to rise and go and that his faith had made him well. We must thank Jesus, go and keep faith. Just as the apostles earlier in this chapter we must ask Jesus to increase our faith.
Are you going in faith so you will be cleansed?
Today’s Prayer: Jesus, have mercy on me and increase my faith. I am crying out now to you Lord; please increase my faith. Please forgive me for waiting to go where You have already told me to go. I will go where You instruct me now. Lord I repent of my sins and thank You for forgiving me and showing me mercy. Please be clear on where I am to go to be healed. Amen
