Today’s Scripture: Psalm 143:8 ESV; Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
“I should go.” These words jumped off the page as I praised God for His steadfast love in the morning. If I have already experienced His love in a past and present sense, could I already know the way I should go?
We have a tendency to cry out and lift up our soul to God asking where we should go. Do you think God has already shown you the way and you haven’t even gone to what you know?
Just this weekend I was called on the carpet by my wife. From a place of love she let me know I haven’t gone anywhere. I didn’t like it. But I am doing something I rationalized, I am writing this blog right here in my comfort zone. Did God call me to comfort? No, He promised to comfort me as I go to where He has made known.
Has God already shown you where to go? You should go.
Today’s Prayer: LORD, thank You for Your steadfast love. Thank You for showing me where I should go. Forgive me for seeking my own understanding of how. I know You show me Your love and Your way. I am going LORD and trusting You to continue to make known to me Your way. I lift my soul and my trust to You. Amen
