Today’s Scripture: Jude 1:1 NLT Tyndale: This letter is from Jude, a slave to Jesus Christ and a brother of James. I am writing to all who are called to live in the love of God the Father and the care of Jesus Christ.
The twenty five verses of Jude sure pack a wallop. Have you ever wondered what your “calling” is?
Look no further. Jude shows our true calling uniquely in this Tyndale translation. If we live in the love of God we are living our calling. Seems simple doesn’t it? However, as Jude warned, we must not live to satisfy ungodly desires; our natural instincts do not have God’s Spirit in them. We must build each other up in the most holy faith, praying in the power of the Holy Spirit for each other.
Instead of looking high and low for our calling in this world we can look to the love of God and care of Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. All glory to God, who is able to keep us from falling away and will bring us with great joy into his glorious presence and love.
Where are you looking for your calling?
Today’s Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for calling me into Your love. Help me to live there. I am praying in the power of the Holy Spirit that we build each other up. Please keep us from falling away and bring us with great joy into Your presence. Thank You for allowing me to receive more and more of Your mercy, peace and love. Amen

Affirmations of God

Hi Tom: I have found too many people think they don’t have a calling because they don’t have a “ministry.” Raising kids can be a calling but I’m sure parents don’t think of it in terms of a calling. You’re right, we’re called to love God and His Son and to trust Him and obey Him. Simple as that.:-) (‘Simple’ with tongue in cheek.)
Thank you Sue and yes you are soooo right! As we give God everything and live in His love we too will live our calling right where we are. Blessings my sister. I received your book last night when I got back home and I am so excited to take that walk of faith with you! Blessings as you live in His love!
I hope you enjoy it.
I am starting it tonight:)
