Today’s Scripture: Nehemiah 9:20 NLT Tyndale: You sent your good Spirit to instruct them, and you did not stop giving them bread from heaven or water for their thirst.
Wow, God continues to give so much I can barely stand it. His Word is so full of power, glory and joy. The hearts of the people of Nehemiah show us that we too can turn back to God and He is faithful.
EVERY time we turn to Him He feeds us. Just the day before the priest had read to the people from early morning to noon. They were filled with joy because they heard and understood. The very next morning we are told that the family leaders, the priests and the Levites met with Ezra to “go over the law in greater detail.”
They “discovered” things they either never knew or had forgotten. They built the temporary structures they discovered and “everyone was filled with great joy!” This has been my experience as well. Every day that I continue to search His Word in greater detail He shows me things I have either never heard or had forgotten and He fills me with great joy.
As we review who He says He is and remind ourselves of what He has done we realize that He continues to give. Today and every day; what is He revealing to you today?
Today’s Prayer: Mighty God, thank You for Your Word. I praise Your glorious name. Your name is far greater than I can think or say. You give me life in Your Spirit and in Your law. I am thankful that you are patient with me. Thank You for Your unfailing love. Help me to keep my promises and to give You my best. Thank You for continuing to give. Amen

Thanks Tom! You asked what God was revealing to me today? He has had me meditating over Psalm 23. I am stuck on the first phrase “The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want.” He is the God who gives and gives and gives everything we need. If He does not give it we do not need it!

Thanks jelillie for responding to the question. Great point we do not need it He isn’t giving it. His provision and timing includes all time and all people doesn’t it?! I find my my spirit only wants more of Him but my flesh wants all kinds of stuff! Bless you!
