Today’s Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT: Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land
God humbles me. Prior to rolling out of bed this morning I recalled where my bible reading was going to be today and I asked God to have Solomon teach me. I am blown away by the faithfulness of our God. We who are so weak and unfaithful are so blessed by a loving and amazing God.
God’s Word is so timely, amazingly so. A conversation I was having just last night about life is the same life I read about in God’s Word today. We humans have not changed and neither has our God!
Solomon gave me over 40 Affirmations of God this morning and that was before I even got to God’s punch line for the day. You see today is January 20th, 2017; Inauguration Day here in the United States. I just “happened” to be at 2 Chronicles 7:14 today: “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” NLT
Solomon reminded me who is the KING of kings and the LORD of lords and he also taught me the following:
I am filled with the glorious presence of the LORD! So much so, nothing else can enter! I should fall face down on the ground and worship and praise the LORD with joy and happiness in amazement of how His love truly does endure forever! It is God who gives me my plans and it is He who helps daily to complete all of them.
I am called by God and I know that if I humble myself and pray and seek His face I will turn away from my wicked ways He will hear me and he will forgive me and heal my land. Will you join me in praying today and witnessing what our God will do?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, You are the KING of kings and the LORD of lords. We fall on our faces before you and praise Your name! On our knees and with hands held high we praise You and thank you for Your enduring love. We are called by Your name and we humble ourselves to pray and seek Your face. Help us to turn from our wicked ways. Thank You for hearing us from Heaven and we are crying out for You to forgive our sins and to restore our land. We ask all of this for Your glory and in praise and remembrance of what you have done for our ancestors. Amen
