Scripture: Ephesians 6:18, NLT- “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.”
Paul instructs us in Ephesians 6:18 to always pray in the Spirit. Just how do we do that? We must surrender our hearts, minds, and strength. The Spirit of God carries us into places we cannot go alone.
Have you ever wondered why we are taught to close our eyes and bow our heads when praying? We must shut off what we can see and submit ourselves to the Spirit of God to commune with God as only the Spirit can.
Do you seek to pray in the Spirit?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me to always pray in Your Spirit. Holy Spirit, I welcome You to pray for and with me. Please open the eyes of my heart to seek God’s will and be who You desire me to be. Please remove anything that keeps me from praying in Your Spirit. In the name of Jesus, I am praying.
