Today’s Scripture: Psalm 19:14, NLT- “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.”
Let us always declare the glory of God. In our spoken and unspoken words let us proclaim the handiwork of God. In Psalm 19:1 David professed that the heavens declare the glory of God and the sky proclaims His handiwork.
We do see and hear God in His nature, don’t we? It is supernatural how we hear God although, as David said in Psalm 19:3-4, that the heavens and skies have no speech and we cannot hear their voices, yet their message goes out into all the earth.
We “hear” God loud and clear when we look to the work of His hands. Gratitude to God for His creation is the beginning of seeing God’s glory in everything. Replacing the Creator with logic and human-made understanding removes the glory of God.
Praising God lights a fire in our spirits. As Psalm 19:7-9 promises, “The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether.” (ESV)
With or without our words, the glory of our LORD can be made known. Praising God each day and glorifying His handiwork and laws, absolutely revives our souls and we know the rejoicing of our hearts.
As Psalm 19:10 expresses we do receive riches more precious than gold and we do taste life in a way that is sweeter than honey. Out of our awareness and gratitude of God, our Father, we can echo David’s requests of God. “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.” (NLT)
How do you hear the glory of God?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for creating all things. We witness and hear You. I am praying that the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart are pleasing to You, O LORD. Thank You for Your perfect laws. Please keep our hearts connected to Yours. Thank You for reviving our souls with each new day as we seek the purity of Your commandments. In You we are well pleased, and we are praying that we please You, O LORD. Amen.
