Today’s Scripture: Galatians 4:6 ESV: And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”
It is the Spirit within me that cries out to the Father. This Spirit within me is how I know I am a child of God. In Jesus we witnessed this Spirit and in Jesus we received this Spirit.
All around us we witness the results of man attempting to live by the law. Wars and hatred stem from man trying to enforce his understanding of the law.
Just as Paul advised the people of Galatia, live and love in the Spirit we have been given. Do not choose to live in slavery to the law. Have faith in the Son of God and live in the Spirit.
Listen to the Spirit within you. What is He crying out?
Can we shed the chains of slavery one love at a time? Love the Father, love the Son, and love others in the Spirit that has been given to us. LOVE.
Today’s Prayer: Abba Father, I am Your child and I love You. Thank You for Your Spirit within me. I have faith in Your Son Jesus and pray to live and love as He witnessed for us. Thank You for Your promises to us. Help us to live in Your promise that we are Your children and help us to love others. Amen
