Today’s Scripture: Revelation 21:6, NKJV- “And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.”
Whether we realize it or not, whether we believe it or not, It is done! The Spirit of God carried John to that high mountain to see the new Jerusalem descending out of heaven, Revelation 21:12 states that written on the twelve gates were the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.
Wow, the twelve tribes of Israel that goes back to the beginning to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Still at the end, we pray to enter the gates of God. God promises to give the fountain of the water of life to whoever thirsts.
What is your greatest thirst? With many people, places, and things packed into our lives which begins with God blessing us with life and ends with God’s heavenly promise. God is our water of life. As Revelation 21:23 promises the glory of God is our light and Jesus, the Lamb of life, is our lamp.
Show us the way LORD, You know our beginning and end. It is done! I am thirsty for You LORD. I desire to walk in the light of Your glory and welcome others into Your shining city. Spirit of God please carry me to the water of life and far away from the lake of fire and brimstone.
In Revelations 21:5 we are told, “And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.”” Living life with God we always have the promise of everything being made new.
We can go ahead and write it down, the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, will come down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. Let us look to that day while being nourished by God’s water of life today. We can live today trusting that God is the Alpha and the Omega and nothing we face today can or will ever change that.
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning, and the end. In You LORD it is done! Thank You LORD for creating us. Bring us by Your Spirit to Your water of life so that we live for You today so we may live with You forever in the new Jerusalem. We thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ who is our Lamb and lamp. LORD, I am thirsting for You. Amen.
