Thank You Jesus for already giving me everything I need for life and godliness.

Today’s Scripture: 2 Peter 1:3, NKJV- “as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,”

Are we searching as if what we need is already here? When we have misplaced our keys and know they are “here somewhere” we search, rack our brains, and retrace our steps until we find them, don’t we? If we think we will receive keys somewhere in the future, we just wait and hope.

2 Peter 1:3 states that Jesus, in His divine power, has already given us all things for life and godliness. Will we change our perspective and our sense of urgency in our searching? We already have everything we need to participate in the divine nature.

Mind boggling, but right now, this second, we already have all we need to live this life from the divine nature of God and walk away from our lusts for things in this world. We can turn away from the mundane to the divine.

Will you find the divine in you today?

Today’s prayer: Jesus, You are my God and Savior and I thank You for giving me all things for life and godliness. Help me LORD to recognize and choose Your divine nature over my evil human lusts. LORD, I am choosing Your divine nature now. I am praying to live always in Your nature. I am thankful to know that I already have everything I need to bring You glory in life and godliness. Amen.
