Today’s Scripture: Acts 2:17, NIV- “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”
Thank You Father God for loving us. As 1 John 4:10 states, “This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” (NLT) Because God first loved us, as we are promised in 1 John 4:19, we can love.
God gave us Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins instead of giving us the wrath we deserved. We thank You Father God for Jesus. We also thank you for your Holy Spirit that You have poured out for all of us.
None of these things we have created. God the Father who created all things continues to give to us. We can give what we have in return. We can love God and all others. We only need to believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh to be sacrificed for our sins. We can now walk and live in the Spirit of God.
I am thankful for Acts 2:21 that states, “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (KJB) Let us call on the Lord together. We love You Lord and we thank You for Jesus and welcome Your Holy Spirit.
As the writer of Acts proclaimed about David in Acts 2:25, we too can know that God is always with us, and we should not be shaken by anything this world throws at us today. Therefore, as Acts 2:26 states “Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest in hope,”
Let our hearts be glad today and our tongues sing God’s praises as we rest in His hope and the knowledge it is God who provides for us today and every day until the end of time. Let us welcome and follow God’s Holy Spirit today.
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father thank You for loving us, for sending Jesus Christ to satisfy Your wrath, and for pouring out Your Holy Spirit for all of us. We confess together that You are LORD. We confess our belief in the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ who was sacrificed for all our sins. We welcome and live in Your Holy Spirit today and rest in Your hope. In the name of Jesus Christ and in Your Spirit we do pray. Amen.
