Today’s Scripture: Psalm 8:9, NKJV- “O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!”
Our majestic and excellent LORD that is above the heavens created us. The same God who hung the moon and stars with His fingers placed us where we are. Psalm 8:5 tells us that He placed us a little lower than the angels.
He gave us dominion over the things of this earth. The God, who is above the heavens, creates our excellence. We only come to know the fullness of our excellence when we recognize His. I find it easy to be in awe of God’s excellence in nature. I find it easy to praise God when I see what His fingers have made.
How excellent are the works of the hands of our LORD, our God. He gave us dominion over this earth and everything in it. As we look beyond the heavens and praise our LORD for His excellence we see His excellence in all things, even ourselves.
Do you believe God placed you a little lower than the angels?
Today’s Prayer: O LORD, my Lord, how excellent is Your name. You are the name above all names. I praise You for the excellence of the works of Your hands. Thank You for reminding me of Your works with Your sun, moon, and all creatures of this earth. Help me LORD to be mindful that You Yourself made me and placed me a little lower than the angels. I will worship You and praise Your excellence in Your works. Amen
