My spirit is being penetrated by Your light LORD.

Today’s Scripture: Proverbs 20:27, NLT- “The LORD’s light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive.”

The light of the LORD is both exposing and searching. Searching for His light in my prayers has changed my prayer life. Receiving His light to search my spirit exposes who I am.

I look to the LORD’s light behind my closed eyelids when I pray. Somehow this connects my spirit with His Spirit and His Light. I am encouraging you to see if you can see the LORD’s light as you pray.

I welcome the LORD’s light into my spirit when I pray and I do my best to stay out of the way. I stop my own thoughts and words and receive this penetrating light and Spirit. I try to let go and praise God and His Spirit for searching me out. With thanksgiving I ask them to change me and my human spirit from the inside out.

Will we let God’s light shine in and out of us today?

Today’s Prayer: LORD God, thank You for Your light and Your Spirit. My human spirit desires for Your light and Holy Spirit to search me out and change me to desire what You desire. Change me Lord. Guide me LORD with Your light. As my spirit seeks Your light, I am exposed as well as welcomed into communion with you. Silence me LORD to be searched. Help me LORD to live from Your light and to share Your light with others. In the mighty and searching name of Jesus Christ I do pray. Amen.
