My heart is communing with You God and I pray my spirit is diligently seeking You.

Today’s Scripture: Psalm 77:6, KJB– “I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.”

There are times my mind struggles to connect with God, and I briefly wonder if I have lost my connection forever. I am thankful my spirit is diligently seeking when I cannot. I am thankful when The Holy Spirit communes with God within my Spirit.

Most translations of Psalm 77:6 reference meditating within our hearts. Meditation to me seems to start in the mind. That could just be me, but I love it when I know my spirit is communing with God and it is beyond my capabilities. Searching for God with our minds is limited by our understanding but allowing our spirits to search diligently opens us up to His Spirit. When we allow our spirit to search and appeal to God, we can trust their communications.

I am praying that my spirit craves God and is seeking Him diligently even when I am unaware. As I was on my knees this morning, I was keenly aware that I had lost control, and the Spirit of God was communing my spirit with God. I am not even aware of the conclusion, if any, they came to, but I am trusting they are at work to feed God’s sheep.

God’s way is beyond our understanding but not outside the diligent searching of our spirit. God is great and He works wonders. My mind wanders yet my spirit finds wonder. Thank You God, continue to teach my heart to meditate. Quiet and still my mind O LORD so that Your Spirit will draw my spirit into Your kingdom. I cannot grasp this spirit, but I can let go and welcome the communion of God.

Will you welcome God to commune within your heart? As we silence our minds and our mouths, we can trust the Spirit of God to diligently draw our spirits to God.

Today’s Prayer: Father God, You are mighty and the One who parted the sea long ago. You are my God and the God of Jacob and Joseph. I am praising Your name, and I am seeking Your Spirit with all my heart. Teach my heart to meditate and commune with You O LORD. Draw my spirit with Your Holy Spirit so that I may know You and Your wonders. Work Your mysteries in my heart. Draw me near and away from my understanding. I trust Your Spirit O LORD, help me to diligently seek You and Your will. Amen.
