In You Jesus I am a new creation; old things have passed away and all things have become new.

Today’s Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV-“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

This verse used to concern me. All of my old things had not passed away. I relapsed into my addictions many times. I failed in my character and I felt as if I was my same old self. This “Christ thing” may not have worked for me.

I have found some people have changed in a flash as referenced in the scriptures and I have found many of us have different stories as to how we have become new. I have found after many years that I must trust God’s process and changes of Christ. Whether fast or slow I have found we do become new creations and our old things do pass away in a way that enhances our testimonies for others.

In 2 Corinthians 5:18 we are told that God, through Jesus Christ, has given us a ministry of reconciliation. All of our ministries of how Jesus saved us are different so we can minister to different people.

Will you live in your newness today?

Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for making me a new creation in Jesus Christ. Help me to live in Your newness today. Help me to trust Your processes and plans so that my story will minister to others in a way they too can take their newness to others. Thank You LORD for reconciling me with You. Thank You for not counting my sins against me and for giving me my message of reconciliation. Use me as Your ambassador LORD to encourage others to be reconciled to You. Amen
