Today’s Scripture: Luke 2:25, GWT-A man named Simeon was in Jerusalem. He lived an honorable and devout life. He was waiting for the one who would comfort Israel. The Holy Spirit was with Simeon.
I love the story of Simeon. The way the Holy Spirit had him in the right place at the right time to grant confirmation of the Messiah Who came to save. Simeon was waiting and he listened to the Holy Spirit and went to where he was led to be.
God had promised him that he would see the Messiah before he died. Simeon believed God. We can find comfort and peace in knowing the same Holy Spirit who guided Simeon will guide us today. I am praying we stay alert and in tune with the Holy Spirit.
I find comfort in knowing the Messiah has come and His Holy Spirit continues to guide us. We can trust that in God’s perfect timing we will be in the perfect place to complete His perfect will in us.
Are you waiting for the ONE who will comfort you?
Today’s Prayer: Father of Jesus, I am praying and thanking You for sending us Your Son to be our Messiah. Thank You LORD for Your angels and Your Holy Spirit Who guides us. Help me to wait confidently, honorably, and devoutly. I trust in Your perfect will and timing LORD. Please grant me the resilience to move and go to be where You call me. May my life experience also reveal the Messiah to others. In Jesus’ name I do pray. Amen
