Today’s Scripture: Acts 4:20, NIV- “As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”
The Sanhedrin was early fact-checkers. They had pulled Peter and John before the council to stop the truth from being told. Even though there clearly was a lame man that was now walking, they were still trying to stop this from being known by the people.
Peter trusted the Holy Spirit to speak with boldness and courage. It is much easier to be bold and courageous when we are sharing what we have actually seen and heard. When the Holy Spirit moves within us we know it isn’t us but God.
When we have been with Jesus we must tell what we have seen and heard. It is God today and it was God back then. This message can never be stopped because it is true. As for us, we must do what is right in God’s eyes.
Will you be bold and courageous to share what you have seen and heard?
Today’s Prayers: Father God, thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ who came to show us Your way. I am praying to do as Peter and John and continue to speak what I have seen and heard. Thank You Lord for sharing Your Holy Spirit with me. Thank You Lord for allowing me to be with Jesus. As for me, I will continue to speak what I have seen and heard and I pray Your glory will be magnified and more and more people will know You and Your truths. Amen
