I am crying out for the amazing and mighty power of God and the wonders of Jesus Christ.

Today’s Scripture: Luke 9:43, KJB- “And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,”

Each time I get to Luke 9 I seem to stop and reflect and read surrounding chapters for the majesty and power of God. I was reminded in my prayers this morning that our only hope in this world and in our lives is for us to call out for and trust in the mighty power of God and to pray for the wonders of Jesus Christ to rebuke all unclean spirits.

Conflicts around the world will only be resolved with the power of God. I am not sure we can grasp our need for God’s power in this mess and our own messes. In the previous verses of Luke 9:38-42, Jesus had just rebuked the evil and unclean spirits living within the son of a father who cried out to Jesus to help with the unclean spirits within his only son.

Luke 9:42, NKJV tells us “Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.” I believe this is what we have to do with all disputes among nations and with the conflicts of our lives. We must rebuke all unclean spirits, pray for Jesus’ healing, and give them back to The Father. I am standing with God and His only Son for His will to be done.

The disciples had not been able to remove these unclean spirits previously so there are some conflicts that only the amazing and mighty power of God and the wonders of Jesus Christ can heal. We too can cry out to Jesus and ask Him to step in and heal us. We can trust that the mighty power of God is still real and at work. Instead of relying on weapons of war, the understanding of a perverse humankind, and hoping humans will suddenly change, we must cry out to God and Jesus Christ.

What this world needs in the many conflicts of unclean spirits and our legion of unclean spirits is the healing power of Jesus Christ. I am praying now that Jesus will heal us and all lands and give us back to the Father. LORD God, Father God, heal our lives and lands.

Today’s Prayer: Almighty Father God, we are crying out to You for the healing of our lands and our lives. We glorify You and Your name for being holy. We need the touch and presence of Your only son, Jesus Christ now. LORD God, please flood this earth with Your Holy Spirit to remove all unclean spirits. May Your amazing and mighty power be witnessed by all. May more hearts and minds grasp and cry out for Your healing love to be received. Forgive us LORD for our sins. Help us to turn away from our ways and to seek Your face so You will heal our lands. In You LORD and Your kingdom, are all power and glory. In the name and healing wonders of Jesus Christ do I pray and return to You Father. Amen.
