God reveals to us what He is about to do.

Today’s Scripture: Genesis 41:25, NKJV- “Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one; God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do:”

Do you dream of what God is about to do? We can trust the visions of God and His timing. Joseph is one of my favorite people of the bible. In hindsight we can see how God used setbacks as setups for eternal success.

In Genesis 37:5, we are told that Joseph had a dream. His brothers hated him for his dreams and even his own father rebuked him. Just because we have a dream and vision from God as to what He is about to do, it does not make life easy. In fact, we may find people, even those who are closest to us, discourage our dreams.

Joseph’s brothers wanted to kill him and his dreams. They sold him into slavery. In Genesis 39:2, we are told that “And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.” In Genesis 39:5, we are told that “the LORD blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph.”

Then, accused by Potiphar’s wife, we learn Joseph was thrown into prison. Even there in Psalm 39:21 we witness that “the LORD was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.”

The LORD is with us as well. Although we can read the rest of Joseph’s story in Genesis, we may not be able to see how God’s kindness and favor will be orchestrated through us, but it will. God does have a plan and we can live for the LORD in all circumstances.

It is God who gives the dreams, the favor, and the timing. If God has revealed to us what He is about to do, we can trust Him and His ways. In our setbacks we can look to the LORD and live with Him wherever we are at the time. We can be thankful for the people God has placed in our lives to get us to where He wants us to serve Him and His people.

Joseph did not create His dreams nor his circumstances or timelines, but he lived them. If we have a dream from God that serves Him and His people we must live with God. God makes it clear to us and others when He is with us. Years may pass but God’s perfect dream and plan will succeed.

We must not worry about how God will do His work but only know that He will. We must only focus on God and our walk with Him. If what we are doing is in line with the Word and visions of God, we are not to concern ourselves with disapprovals or detours. Joseph could not have made up what happened to him, and we cannot either.

I am praying now that God reveals to you and me what He is about to do and how He will use us. We can trust God and His words in Psalm 139:14, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (NIV) We can know full well that what God is going to do is wonderful and He is using our dreams to fulfill His works.

Let us live in God and His Spirit today and produce His fruits so the world will know He is with us. LORD show us what You are about to do and how we can glorify You.

Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for the dreams You give to us. Show us LORD what You are about to do. Use each of us LORD for Your glory and Your people. Thank You for ordering our days and we trust You. Grant us Your favor and prosperity to complete Your works. We praise You Father God for fearfully and wonderfully making us, so we do our part to fulfill Your wonderful works. In Your name LORD, we do pray. Amen.
