Day and night I am saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”

Today’s Scripture: Revelation 4:8, NKJV- “The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”

Our prayers must not be over-thought. As the four creatures in Revelation 4:8, I found myself on my face this morning before God remembering their words.

On our faces before our Almighty God, armed only with a spirit of praise for Him and His holiness, is where we most often hear the knock. Which knock is that? The knock that John wrote of in Revelation 3:20, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” (NIV)

Shutting our mouths and shutting out the voices all around, we hear God’s voice and His knock. His promise rings true. He will come in and eat with us and we will eat with Him. Holy, holy, Holy, are You LORD God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come.

Can you find a moment to fall before God and praise Him today?

Today’s prayer: Holy, holy, holy, are You Lord God Almighty, it is You who was and is and is to come!” Thank You LORD for receiving our prayers and praises. Thank You LORD for Your Spirit of praise. Thank You LORD for standing and knocking at Your door. I am opening the door. Please come in and eat with me today. Amen.
