Today’s Scripture: Proverbs 2:5 ESV: then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.
In review of Proverbs 2:1-5 I am filled with hope by the word THEN. If I do those things God requires THEN I will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.
I DO want to understand the fear of the LORD. I DO want to find the knowledge of God. What actions does God require?
- Receive His words
- Treasure His commands
- Incline our ear to wisdom
- Apply our hearts to understanding
- Cry out for discernment
- Lift up our voices for understanding
- Seek wisdom as silver
- Search for wisdom as hidden treasure
THEN we will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. Are you willing to do these things God requires? Year’s ago I came up with an acrostic to help me remember these steps Really Trust In A Christ Loving Silly Sinners. How can you remember what He requires?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, I receive Your words. I am treasuring up Your commands. Please teach me to incline my ear to Wisdom. Help me to apply my heart to understanding. I am crying out to You LORD for discernment. I am lifting my voice up to You now for understanding. I am seeking wisdom as silver and searching for her as hidden treasure. I pray to do what You require so I understand the fear of the LORD and find Your knowledge. Amen
