Today’s Scripture: Galatians 1:1 (ESV): Paul, an apostle–not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—
Paul made it clear who defined him as an apostle: Jesus and God the Father. The same should be true for us. In Galatians 1:10, Paul’s truth is our reality, if we are still trying to please man, we cannot be a servant of Christ.
If I am trying to please man, which includes ME, I would not be a servant of Christ. I lived most of my life so concerned with what others thought that by age 40 I realized I did not even know who I was. I had become defined by what I thought others wanted I had lost me.
I knew the God talk and went to church but was a practicing alcoholic. Seeking to know Jesus and God I have found myself. Have you ever struggled with seeking the approval of man or allowing man to define you?
Who will you allow to define you?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father thank You for coming to live in my heart. I so love You and Your Spirit. I am thankful for Jesus’ love and direction. I only seek the approval You and Jesus. Please help me resist the temptation to seek the approval of man. You LORD are all I need and all I seek. I desire to please You. Amen

Affirmations of God
Society has put so much pressure on people to be “like them” that it’s no wonder there are so many lost. Peer pressure isn’t just about teens, we all get caught up in it. Praise God He shows us who we really are.
Amen Sue, the persecution has certainly begun even for those we couldn’t fathom. Praise God He knows who we really are and He really loves us into being who He created us to be. Blessings in His love!
