Today’s Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:58 NLT; So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
Working for the Lord gives me life. I came to 1 Corinthians 15 this morning to write about death and yet what I found was life. Revisiting an affirmation almost four years old that said “I die daily” I have gained a different perspective.
Paul is saying he was willing to risk everything, even death, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ; are we? Instead of finding death in these verses I have found life. I found I am alive when I am working for Christ.
Death truly is swallowed up in victory. Christ is life giving and thanks be to God He gives us victory in our work. May we be enthusiastic and steadfast in sharing the good news that Christ died for all of us.
We do come to know the mystery that Paul speaks of and we are truly changed. Can you give way the life you have found in Christ today?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, I thank You for Your Son Jesus and for His gospel. LORD, in You I find life. In sharing Your Gospel and Your love I live life to the full. I am alive in You Lord and I pray You use me and I pray for Your strength and Spirit to help me give all I have for You; enthusiastically. Amen
