Today’s Scripture: Romans 8:26 ESV: Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
This God thing is CRAZY! God continually amazes me and proves to me that He speaks. I have to break my word count today to share a personal experience.
As I knelt to meet God I didn’t know what He expected me to do or think. Somewhere in my mind or my spirit I thought I would just allow the Holy Spirit to connect with God. Silencing my thoughts I felt my soul open to God hoping that the unintelligible communication between God and Spirit was taking place.
After this prayer time I returned to the Word of God. I did not look for Romans 8 but somehow I was there and looking at a previous affirmation I had harvested “The Spirit has set me free.” Indeed God has set me free.
As I read the scriptures and this blog written two years prior I realized God knew where I would be this day. In this day’s reading were the verses promising exactly what I had experienced today. In my fallen flesh I do not even know how to pray or what I should ask of God. But, the Holy Spirit does know and I trust the communion of God and He on my behalf this day.
Do you trust the Holy Spirit to pray for you? Does God amaze you in how He reveals Himself to you?
Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, thank You for praying with the Holy Spirit for me. I trust You are coordinating Your will. I trust You to shape me and mold me into Your willing servant. I am comforted and strengthened to know the Holy Spirit knows Your will and myself better than I. I praise You LORD and pray I will complete Your will for me today. Amen
