Today’s Scripture: SO BE CAREFUL HOW YOU LIVE, not as fools but as those who are wise. Ephesians 5:15 NLT Tyndale
This Tyndale translation does capitalize these first six words of Ephesians 5:15. This must be important, huh? I am learning that being careful also means being full of care. Full of care in how God wants me to love and live with others. Have you ever been awakened to realize you haven’t been careful? I have.
In verse 19 we are instructed to make music to the Lord in our hearts. Are we? More importantly can others hear and see this music? How about those closest to us? Paul covers marriage, children, and work over the following verses. We are to be careful and full of His love. We are told to love as Christ loves.
In 6:10 Paul says: “A final word: Be strong with the Lord’s mighty power.” We must be careful to love and live with God’s music and His power. We will make beautiful music, if we are careful.
Today’s Prayer: Thank You for Your love and Your power. Teach me Lord to love as You do. Thank You for the example of Jesus who teaches me to love and care for others. Please continue to teach me to make music to You that all others will clearly experience. Help me to be careful to nourish and cherish those I love. Amen

Tom, Thank you for being so faithful to continue writing even when your readers are not as faithful. You continue to inspire me to keep the faith.
Thank you Patsy! My schedule has been messed up lately so I appreciate your encouragement. I pray to be faithful as God gives me such joy in doing this. Comments like yours confirm the love that this provides. I am praying now for you and your ministry. You too inspire me. God’s blessings to you!
Being careful how I live sure makes me stop to think about the influence I am leaving, in the present and the future. Good to hear from you tom.
Thank you Bill! God has a way of waking us to how we influence others doesn’t he. He has certainly taught me some lessons lately that I must be more careful to love as He does and to keep my relationships in the proper priorities. Sorry I have been so out of the loop lately. I am working out of town for a couple of weeks and the long hours just break my routine. I will try to catch up soon! Bless you!
Thanks, Tom. I hope you are doing well. This is a great reminder for us.
Thank you Meg, I hope you are doing well too. Thanks for checking in! Just have a crazy schedule these days and have been pressed on every side. God is good and I truly appreciate your feedback! Have a blessed day!

Good word today, Tom. I tend to be a pretty cautious person…. but thanks for the reminder to consider it in my walk with Christ as well – in the decisions, how intentional I am, etc.
I love the word intentional. God has helped to show me I must be careful and intentional in showing love. Thanks for checking in!
Thanks for sharing this today!
Thanks for checking in B!
Wow amazing how God talks through different ways… my friend and I had a similar talk last night and I read this today! Yes indeed we should be careful of how we act. Thank you for the reminder =D
Jean, thank you for commenting. I too have been amazed at how God talks.Years ago I was frustrated that I didn’t “hear” God but now know He speaks clearly and often through His Word and through others. Simply amazing.
