Today’s Scripture: Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! Psalm 32:11 ESV
In the eleven verses of Psalm 32 David covers a lot of ground; from withering away to shouting for joy. David shares his personal experience of finding joy in the LORD’s forgiveness.
David says that when he tried to keep his sin and guilt to himself it almost killed him. He was wasting away in his silence. However he found that in confessing His sins the LORD was faithful and forgave him and gave him joy. I have found the same thing.
The weight of sin and guilt is a heavy load. The common quote in recovery circles says “We are only as sick as our secrets.” John Baker in his Celebrate Recovery Confess lesson 12 says: “When we share our deepest secrets, we begin to divide the pain and the shame.” The LORD is ALWAYS faithful.

Today’s Prayer: LORD Jehovah, I confess to you I am a sinner. Thank You for forgiving me and loving me. I will shout with joy the gladness You have given me. Use me to encourage others to know Your joy and Your love that gives us freedom from guilt and decay. Amen
