Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 6:8 ESV: And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
Are you willing to go and represent the Lord? I believe our first reaction is to say yes, here I am Lord, send me! Then we allow fear, doubt and the voices of others to drown out our resolve.
Many times we do not go and do because we don’t understand or where we are to go or just can’t see it. Interestingly, the message the Lord gave to Isaiah at that moment for the people was: ‘No matter how closely you listen, you’ll never understand. No matter how closely you look, you’ll never see.’ (GOD’S WORD Translation)
Huh?! That should go over well. But I think I could tell that story. I do not understand Lord, I can not see. But I am willing. I don’t even understand the remainder of Isaiah 6; does that matter? Do I have to understand to be willing to go?

Am I willing? Yep! Been there, done that and hopefully I won’t have THAT to do again. ha ha I think you understand. And no, we absolutely do NOT have to understand to be obedient. Do it and He may reveal why later…..and He may not. 🙂
