Today’s Scripture: 1 John 4:12 ESV: No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
How is it that we can perfect God’s love? We perfect it by giving it to others.
It is not always easy to love others, is it? We are not always loveable are we? 1 John 4 states we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error. It is obvious for others and us which spirit we are living in at every moment.
God loves us when we are unlovable and we perfect His love when we give His love to the unlovable and lovable alike. Because He first loved us we can love all others. I confess that Jesus came to earth in the flesh to show us God’s love and to teach us to give it to others.
None of us have seen God is a reminder to rely not on what we know but on the love God gave us. Will you perfect God’s love?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your love and for Your Son Jesus Christ. You sent Jesus in the flesh to teach us Your love. Live in me LORD, love through me Heavenly Father. Use me to perfect Your love. I confess Jesus Christ and confess Your love. Reveal Your love through me as I show more or You and less of me. Amen

Thank you for this. I need to turn back to God for he never forsaked me or abandoned me. I know he loves me deeply. And I need his protection.

As we turn our hearts to Him we receive His love and His light that fills us, protects us and guides us in His ways.
