Today’s Scripture: Dear Friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 1 John 4:11 NLT Tyndale
Can’t you just see the outstretched hands of a little child saying I love you “thaaaat much”. It means more than we can really reach, say or see doesn’t it? In 1 John 4:9, we are told that God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son so we could live with Him forever. Can your outstretched arms reveal forever?
1 John 4:12 states: No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. If I can tell you that I love you thiiiiiiis much it is because God loves me THAT much.
Will you express God’s love to others today?
Today’s Prayer: God, thank You for first loving me. Help me to know Your will as well as I know Your love. I live in You and thank You for living in me. Use me to show Your love and to keep Your commandment to love one another. I trust You for victory over anything that might take Your place in my heart. My joy is complete in Your love. Amen
