Share the post "Affirmation of God: Falling flat on my face before the LORD is a good thing."
Today’s Scripture: Ezekiel 1:28 NLT Tyndale: All around him was a glowing halo, like a rainbow shining through the clouds. This was the way the glory of the LORD appeared to me. When I saw it, I fell face down in the dust, and I heard someone’s voice speaking to me.
To say “I have fallen flat on my face” usually means we have messed up in human terms. Somehow that is supposed to be a sign of embarrassment and looking foolish in front of others.
Here in Ezekiel He fell on His face each time the LORD appeared to Him. The LORD even told him not to worry about whether the people of Israel listened or not. Do not fear them “you must give them my message whether they listen or not.”
The LORD will prepare us and He will give us what He wants us to say. Just as Ezekiel when we fall face down before the LORD it is there we begin to hear His voice. We do not share what He has told us for acceptance of man but out of obedience to Him, right? Are we worried about falling on our face before man or God?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, I fall on my face before You. I am open to You and receive what You give. Be clear and specific with what You will have me say. I ask for Your words to sink deep into my heart. Show me the responsibilities You will hold me accountable for. Remove all my fear of man and all concern as to whether they listen to me or not. Keep Your hand upon me LORD to share the messages You give me. Amen

Affirmations of God

Hi Tom: I’ve done this many times and at times what I have said has been totally rejected. I brush the sand from my feet and move on but I was obedient. That’s what we’re called to do. 🙂 Have a great day.
Amen Sue. I am praying to be obedient too. To DO our calling. Blessings in your obedience.
The need to humble ourselves so before the Lord is great. This is the only place where we can lose our fear of man, gain a fear of God and move forward into His plans for our lives.
Amen Joseph. To humbly believe it is Him and His plan in us. May we boldly and humbly work His plan.
