Today’s Scripture: So that’s why faith is the key! God’s promise is given to us as a free gift. And we are certain to receive it, whether or not we follow Jewish customs, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe. Romans 4:16 NLT Tyndale
We can have, we must have the faith of Abraham. We just need to stop rationalizing it, trying to figure things out in our understanding. It made no sense that a one hundred year old Abraham and a barren Sarah could have dependents as numerous as the stars. Unbelievable? This has proven true.
Belief in the unbelievable can make our minds run in circles. But faith in a God who keeps His promises is the key that unlocks God’s love, His power, peace and eternity. I am thankful God is kind, tolerant and patient with us and that His Spirit changes our hearts.
Our hearts do know Him and He has written Himself in us. It is in us to believe and have faith. We can have faith that Jesus shed His blood and sacrificed His life for us. This faith unlocks a joy that is unbelievable. May our faith grow and may we be absolutely convinced that God will do anything He promised. How is your faith today?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us the capability to have faith. Thank You for Your promises. Continue to grow our faith in spite of our inability to understand and believe at times. I believe You are God and Your Spirit has changed me. I believe You and have Faith that the blood of Jesus has made me right with you forever. Amen

Faith certainly is key!
Thanks Brandon! Key to a ton of things, huh?
Amen. He is bigger than our comprehension, so with that I’m grateful for faith.
It takes beyond….doesn’t it Dustin? Thanks!
“He has written Himself in us. It is in us to believe and have faith. ”
A-men! Paul the Apostle said that God has given a measure of faith to every man. Oh! That we would all come to exercise our faith in a saving God!
Amen! Thanks for coming back and participating….let’s exercise it!
My good take-away tom? Right here: Belief in the unbelievable can make our minds run in circles. But faith in a God who keeps His promises is the key that unlocks God’s love, His power, peace and eternity. Not much else to say. Thanks.
Thank you Bill!
“We can have, we must have the faith of Abraham.”
How many of us would take our first-born and make an altar to sacrifice him because God told us to do so?
Exactly.
Now that, right there, is indeed FAITH. Wow!
For sure Donald. That Abraham/Isaac story has always been one to challenge us hasn’t it? Thanks!
“We just need to stop rationalizing it, trying to figure things out in our understanding.” How often we try to think with our natural minds instead of with the mind of Christ!
Abraham had faith and obedience… what an example to follow.
Yes Abraham was the father of many and it all began with faith!
Sounds too simple, doesn’t it!
