Today’s Scripture: Luke 8:39, NIV- “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.
Have you ever felt like Legion? Ok, maybe not quite as many demons, but you experienced the healing of Jesus? Here in Luke 8 Jesus removed all of Legion’s many demons and used him to spread the good news.
After his healing Legion begged to follow Jesus. However, Jesus had other plans and told him to simply return home and tell how much God had done for him.
We are like Legion. We do not have to travel far to tell how much God has done for us. Our lives and experiences will tell of what Jesus has done. Those who God intends will come to believe and know Jesus because we tell them how much He has done for us.
Too often we focus on telling others what they must do to follow Jesus when all we have to tell is how much God has done for us. Every time we tell of what God has done for us, we are filled with thanksgiving and purpose.
Can you tell how much God has done for you?
Today’s Prayer: LORD God, thank You for doing so much for me. I am telling everyone how much You have done. Use my experiences to show others Your Kingdom and Your power. Thank You Lord for healing me. In the name of our Healer, Jesus Christ, we do pray. Amen.
