Today’s Scripture: Matthew 12:34, ESV- You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
We are instructed in Matthew 12:34 that what is abundant in our hearts is what we will speak. I am praying that God fills our hearts with His Spirit abundantly.
In the very next verse Matthew 12:35 we are told that a good person brings forth good out of his treasure. Keeping the treasures of God in our hearts not only fills us with abundance but allows us to overflow to others. Can we treasure enough of God so that it will spill over and bring forth good?
Yes, we can. God fills our hearts with joy, peace, love, grace and so much more. True treasures that we may possess in our hearts that do overflow.

Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for promising to fill our hearts with Your Spirit. I confess that I have had a divided heart and pray now that You fill all my heart. Fill me LORD so that I may bring forth good and speak of Your treasures. You are an abundant God, and I pray You work abundantly through Your Spirit in me. Amen
