Today’s Scripture: And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16 ESV
How does the LORD lead you?
In Isaiah 42:1 The LORD says He has put His Spirit upon us and 42:2 He says He will not cry aloud, nor lift up His voice or make it heard in the street. So how do you suppose you hear God?
Over and over I experience God in the stillness of being with Him. He will lead me with seemingly random thoughts, clear pictures of the faces of others or mere questions. Amazingly, combined with His Word, no matter where I am, He speaks specifically.
This morning I know the LORD presented to me the face of another to pray for. Then during the writing of this devotion I was interrupted by a call from a friend of days gone by because God prompted Him to call me. Yes, the LORD leads us in ways we could not even make up or know.
How is the LORD leading you?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, thank You for creating us; thank You for putting Your Spirit upon us and thank You for leading us. Thank you for opening my blind eyes and my deaf ears to see and hear You. I trust You to lead me in ways I have not known. Amen
