Today’s Scripture: Psalm 30:1, NASB- “A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. A Psalm of David. I will exalt You, LORD, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my enemies rejoice over me.”
The LORD has lifted me up many times. Our nature is to look to other people, places, or things to lift our spirits. However, it is the Spirit of the LORD who lifts us and deserves our praises.
We can cry out to the LORD from our low places, and He hears us. O LORD, my God, thank You for hearing and healing me. Sometimes our souls and spirits feel as if they are in the pits of hell. However, in Psalm 30:3 we see God saves us from the pit.
When we look up, we can see the light, hope, and joy of the LORD. When we can muster up praises to the LORD and thank Him for His holiness, we get lifted. I am thankful that God’s favor lasts a lifetime. We can count on Psalm 30:5 that promises that after our weeping, joy does come in the morning.
Are you looking up for the LORD to lift you?
Today’s Prayer: Almighty and Holy Father, I am looking to You and calling out for Your joy and holiness. Thank You LORD for hearing my prayer and praises. Thank You for Your promise to raise our joys just as surely as You raise the morning sun. Your works are beautiful LORD, and I am praising Your name and singing my thanksgivings to You. Amen.
