Today’s Scripture: 2 Samuel 5:24, NKJV- “And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the LORD will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”
God Himself gave David His people to lead. Do you think God has given you people to lead too? Here in 2 Samuel, we can take direction from David’s life.
If God has called us to lead and shepherd His people, it is God who leads the way. Regardless of what others may say or do, if we are following God, He is going before us. Just as David, we should inquire of God if it is of Him and then go as He directs us.
We must seek God and His plan. If He speaks clearly then we should move confidently and quickly to follow Him. He is making our way and He is clearing out enemies who are attempting to stop us. We fight our battles by following the LORD into battle and trusting Him.
We can be specific in our questions to God, as David was, and God will be specific in leading us. Will we act quickly to follow Him?
Today’s Prayer: LORD God, help me to lead Your sheep. Show me the way LORD. Please grant me the specifics of where and how to God. I do believe LORD, that You are leading me into battle. I believe Your words over the words of those who discourage. I believe LORD that You are going before me and I am asking that I hear You clearly and that I act quickly to follow Your leading. Thank You LORD for fighting my battles. Amen.
