LORD, I am praising You with my whole heart and telling of all Your marvelous works.

Today’s Scripture: Psalm 9:1, NKJV- “To the Chief Musician. To the tune of “Death of the Son.” A Psalm of David. I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.

David is giving us the secret to being happy and joyful. As we praise the LORD with our whole heart and keep telling of all His marvelous works, we find gladness and joy as David promises in Psalm 9:2. When we want and need joy in our lives we must want and need to praise the LORD. We can always sing praises to the name of the LORD to recognize there is cause for joy.

Our struggles and challenges come and go yet our LORD reigns forever. We can look beyond our current circumstances and look to our LORD. We see God when we look beyond what we can see.  Recalling and retelling His marvelous works takes us beyond our understanding to a place of wonder and remembrance of what He has done. We can rest assured that our God will do His marvelous works again.

We can review God’s marvelous works captured in the scriptures as we hallow His name in prayer. We can be reminded of His greatness and provision as we kneel before Him. The LORD is our refuge where we can run to in our troubles and sadness. As we review the marvelous works of the LORD our whole hearts are filled with wonder and strength. Psalm 9:10 reminds us that God has never abandoned those who seek Him.

As we continue to seek God, sing His praises, and tell of the marvelous works, we find joy. I am thankful for the promise of Psalm 9:12 that He never ignores or forgets our cries. It is our LORD who lifts us up and over the gates of death we face. When we rejoice in the salvation of the LORD, we know gladness.

I am thankful to read in Psalm 9:18 that God will always remember our needs and our hopes. Our LORD is beyond our mortal needs, yet He is always lifting us up and welcoming us. Will you praise Him with your whole heart and tell of His marvelous works?

Today’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Help us to recall and tell of all You have done. Fill our whole hearts with awe and praise for the marvelous things You have done. Help us to share and show You LORD today. Thank You LORD for the fullness of hope and strength we have in You. Thank You LORD for Your Love and provision that endures forever. In You, LORD, we find the fullness of joy. Please draw our whole hearts to You. Amen.
