Today’s Scripture: Revelation 5:12, NIV- “In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!””
Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God is worthy of all praise. When we begin and live our days lifting our voices to Jesus, we experience His power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and praise.
In Revelation 5:11, John blows our minds as he describes what God allowed him to see and hear. “Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands.” (NKJV)
We have calculators to figure the math and yet we have no concept of over one hundred million angels lifting their loud voices in declaring that Jesus Christ is worthy. Although we cannot conceive the magnitude of our God, we can get “in the Spirit” as John refers to in John 4:2, “And instantly I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it.” (NLT)
When God lifts us up to be in His Spirit we catch a glimpse of His power, wealth, wisdom, and strength. The Spirit within us certainly lifts a loud voice of honor, glory, and praise within us. The Spirit brings us into the vibrant light of God. We can see the glow of the brilliance of God.
We can also follow the examples of the living creatures of Revelation 4:8, “Day and night they never stop saying: “’Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.” (NIV) Our spirits within us can say this day and night when we turn to the Spirit.
As Revelations 4:9-10 states, whenever our spirits are giving glory, honor, and thanksgivings to our God on the throne we are driven to fall down before Him. As we fall before God and worship Him, we too can say “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” (Revelations 4:11, NKJV.)
Jesus came to earth so He could open our eyes, ears, and spirits to God and His Holy Spirit. I am just now beginning to conceive that just as we can worship and lift our praises to God 24/7, we also have a door open to us 24/7. As John envisioned in Revelation 4:1, “Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” (NLT)
We may not hear one hundred million voices, but we may hear a small voice inviting us through the door to heaven. The Holy Spirit is welcoming us to come and learn what we are to do next. One step after another today let us enter the door of God’s Holy Spirit to guide us to what we are to do after this.
Today’s Prayer: Holy, Holy, Holy are You LORD God Almighty. We are falling before You now and lifting our voices loudly to You and Your Lamb. You are worthy, O LORD, for all glory, honor, and power. You created all things, and through You we all exist. Thank You LORD for opening the doors of heaven to us. I am entering Your door now so Your Spirit can show and tell me what to do next. Thank You LORD Almighty for Your love, light, and direction for us. In the name of the Lamb of God we do pray. Amen.
