Today’s Scripture: They said to him, “Where will you have us prepare it?” Luke 22:29 ESV
We have an assignment. In Luke 22:29 Jesus said to the disciples “and I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom,” (ESV). Do you believe Jesus has assigned you a kingdom?
Just as in locating the upper room, we can ask Jesus how we are to know and do the work of the kingdom He has given us. LORD how do I recognize and do Your will in the kingdom You have given to me?
I am thankful in these same verses that Jesus has prayed that our recoveries will strengthen our brothers. God does know the plans He has for us and He also knows our shortcomings. Even these can be used to strengthen others.
Jesus prayed for Peter’s faith not to fail; that after he turned around he would strengthen his brothers. In faith, we can turn it around and strengthen others too.
We only need to ask Jesus how, will you?
Today’s Prayer: Lord Jesus, show me the kingdom the LORD has given me and what to do in it. Help me to keep faith as I continually turn to you. Use me to serve and strengthen others. Jesus I ask You to show me how I am to fulfill the kingdom that has been given to me. Amen
