Today’s Scripture: Revelation 9:20, NLT- “But the people who did not die in these plagues still refused to repent of their evil deeds and turn to God. They continued to worship demons and idols made of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood—idols that can neither see nor hear nor walk!”
I cannot profess to understand the visions of John in Revelation. However, I do understand that the God of heaven does see, hear, and walk with us.
God hears the cries of all His people. Although all of us know of God, there will always be those that refuse to repent from their evil deeds and turn to God as John referenced here. These people in John’s vision had just witnessed God’s mighty plaques and two hundred million mounted troops that killed a third of the people. Yet, they refused.
We can share what we have seen with God, the intimacy of our talks with Him, and even prove how He Himself has walked with us, yet not everyone will come to believe. Our faith is in God and not humans. We all fail, yet we can choose to repent of our evil deeds and turn to God. We are called to worship God and although we wish all others will follow our God, they will not.
We do what we do for God. As Revelation 9:15 describes, there were four angels who had been prepared for this hour, day, month, and year. We and all people have been prepared for our time as well. We were created to know God by walking and talking with Him. In doing so, we will see God and His glory revealed.
Life was designed for us to live with our God. As the Revelations of John revealed, there will be days of torment. Although we do not know when the trumpets of God will sound, we can spend our days looking for, talking, and walking with God. Our prayers rise to Him like incense as described in Revelation 8:4.
We can trust Revelation 7:17, that Jesus, the Lamb of God will shepherd us “unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” (KJV) Never again will we hunger; never again will we thirst as promised in Revelation 7:16.
As Revelation 7:15 reveals, let us stay “before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.” (NKJV) Let us be washed in the blood of the Lamb as those described in Revelation 7:14. We can affirm, “I have been washed in the blood of the Lamb.”
Let us do now as the angels and elders did in Revelation 7:11, as they “fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God.” On our faces worshiping God is where we learn to see, talk, and walk with Him. Will you join me now?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for your visions. We are falling on our faces to repent and worship You. Thank You LORD for the blood of the Lamb who cleanses us so we may see, talk, and walk with You. May You be glorified Father God and may we serve You with our lives and receive Your seal. We love and worship You. In the name of the Lamb of God we are praying. Amen.
