Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 64:8 ESV: But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.
We are all the work of God’s hand. Do we trust His hand or ours? Do we trust the clay or the Potter?
The LORD, our Father, has and is shaping us. We cannot trust our perception of the current shape of one’s clay but we can always trust the Potter.
I have met many people in recovery where we wonder together how the LORD, our potter, can possibly create beauty out of the messes in our lives. Amazingly, we cannot see it at the moment but I have seen many beautiful works of God.
Just as in Isaiah 64:8: we can call upon the name of the LORD and take hold of Him and trust that He is our Father, our potter, and we are all the work of His hand.
Do you believe you are the work of God’s hand regardless of the shape you are in now?
Today’s Prayer: Now, O LORD, You are my Father. I am the clay and You are my potter. I trust that I am the work of Your hand. I am calling upon Your name O LORD and I pray to take hold of You. I am thankful for Your love and grace and I have to trust You are shaping and molding my iniquities into Your works of love. Shape me LORD. Amen
