Today’s Scripture: I will pursue them with sword, famine, and pestilence, and will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, a terror, a hissing, and a reproach among all the nations where I have driven them, Jeremiah 29:18 ESV
Do we realize God is pursuing us with His word? I am thankful God pursued me with horror when I was refusing His persistent word and prophesies that Jeremiah 29:19 states that the LORD sends.
I am thankful that God stripped away my arrogance of my own understanding and that He has filled me with a future and a hope as He promised in Jeremiah 29:11.
I am thankful for the truth of His promise of Jeremiah 29:12 that when I called out to Him, He heard me. I am thankful for His continuing fulfillment of Jeremiah 29:13 that when I seek Him with all of my heart, I find Him.
I am thankful for the persistence of God’s word that overcame the lies I once believed. Because of His persistence and promises I now know joy that is beyond my understanding.
Are you thankful the LORD pursued you?
Today’s Prayer: LORD God, thank You for Your persistent words and prophesies. LORD, thank You for loving me when I did not love You. LORD thank You for pursuing me when I was running from You. Thank You for hearing me and allowing me to find You. LORD help me to share Your mysteries so others will have a future and a hope in You. Amen
