Today’s Scripture: Ezra 1:1, NKJV- “Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,”
The Spirit of the LORD stirs up our spirits to do what He has appointed us to do. We should put this in writing as Cyrus did here in Ezra 1. The LORD’s stirring is worthy of writing down and it is also worthy of being kept posted before us. If God stirs us, we should act.
I was brought to these verses from old notes I had made in my quiet time over ten years ago. I can see where God answered my prayers, and I can also see where I have not moved or changed. I never looked back at those notes, so I never acted on them.
As we write out what we sense our spirit is moved by we can keep journaling and staying on top of these “dreams” or “stirrings”. We can live and act daily so we will fulfill our appointed purpose.
Will you take a few minutes to write out what the LORD is stirring in your spirit today?
Today’s Prayer: Thank You LORD for stirring my heart. Help me LORD to write out what You desire for me and help me to continually keep Your plans before me. Help me to do what I can do today. As with Ezra, please send Your people who can help me and send me to those who I can help. I know You are with me LORD and I only want to be where You want me to be. Stir me to glorify You. Amen
