Today’s Scripture: Proverbs 23:26, ESV- “My sons, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways.”
Who or what will we give our hearts to today? Who and what will we look towards today?
This seems to be where the rubber meets the road and where life and God’s instruction intersect. When our feet hit the floor and we begin today’s race where are we running? What is the focus of our eyes and our hearts? Proverbs 23 is full of promise and warning.
Are we tempted to run after worldly deceptions or will we apply our hearts to God’s instructions? Will we direct our hearts in the way of God or the ways of flesh?
Our Redeemer is strong and He can draw our heart and our eyes! Let the LORD rejoice in our hearts and fill them with hope and our eyes with His ways.
Who and what will receive your heart and focus today?
Today’s Prayer: LORD God, I am giving You my heart. I need Your power and Your instruction to guide my heart in Your ways. Help me to acquire Your truth, Your wisdom, instruction and understanding. Help me to Help me to give my heart and my eyes to Your ways today and every day. Do with my heart what you will. Amen
