Today’s Scripture: Romans 12:2, ESV- “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Conforming to this world is sad. We see the self-serving ways of man from those who have risen to the highest levels of conformation. It is ugly and dishonest. Turning to God and seeking His transformation is beautiful.
Conformation is self-serving or self-preservation. Transformation is purposeful and exciting. God has given each of us a unique gift and purpose. When we give up ourselves to God we are being transformed to give what others need. We can trust in our gifts and give them.
We can live out God’s will. The Creator has a plan and we can be transformed day by day. God’s plan and His will are perfect and we can be transformed perfectly only by Him.
As we give what we have to God we are transformed. As we are tested we learn the will of God.
What you have inside of you is perfect; will you give it to God today?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, I am offering myself up to You as a living sacrifice right now. Transform me LORD to be who You designed me to be as a part of Your body. Teach me what is good, acceptable and perfect. Use me LORD; teach me how to worship You with my life. Transform me so others too may be transformed rather than conforming to the evil nature of this world. I am Yours. Amen
