I am praying to know God better.

Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 1:17, NIV- “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.”

Paul had experienced God the Father and walked with Jesus Christ. He prayed for the Ephesians and others to come to experience and know what he knew. He gave up his life so you and I would know God better today.

I am also praying others come to know God. In the very next verse Paul speaks of the eyes of our hearts being enlightened. I know too that if we pray and seek to know God better, He will open up the eyes of our hearts.

The hope and riches I have found in the light of God are what drive me to keep sharing and praying for others to know. As we pray to know God better and we seek Him with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, the eyes of our hearts are enlightened to His hope and His riches.

Today’s Prayer: Father God of our Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for welcoming my prayers. I am praying to know You better. Continue to open up the eyes of my heart to You. Thank You for Your Spirit who opens my heart and prays for me to know You better. Thank You for Your hope and Your riches. Thank You LORD God for enlightening the eyes of my heart.  I am praying others too may come to know You and their hearts may become enlightened. Amen
