Today’s Scripture: Jude 1:18 ESV: “They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.””
Jude makes it clear we have a choice to follow our passions or those of God. God please reveal and make Your passions my passions.
Scoffers of God slander and destroy what they do not understand. Grumblers and complainers living only to satisfy their own desires have been predicted in these verses. These people are the ones who are creating divisions among us. They follow their natural instincts because they do not have God’s Spirit in them.
We must build each other up in God’s most holy faith and pray in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are instructed to keep ourselves safe in God’s love. We are also told to show mercy and compassion for those who doubt.
As we follow the glory and passions of God under the authority of Jesus Christ, He will keep us from stumbling and allow our passions to save others.
Will you pray to God to reveal His passions in you and help you follow them?
Today’s Prayer: All glory is Yours O God. Thank You for saving me through our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit who plants seeds and grants visions to see how we can help prepare the paths of those who seek to follow You. Fill me with Your passions O God. Your passions are all I want to follow and I need Your help to keep from stumbling. Thank You for the safety of Your love. Amen.
